Kew Gardens
1 day itineraryRoyal Botanic Gardens, Kew
Duration: 1 days
I love gardening so this was one of the highlights of my trip. Visiting Kew was like visiting a movie star that I had seen on television. It was worth the trip, across the oceans and continents to get a close up look. For everyone who enjoys the outdoors, plants and the environment this place is a treat. (and if I sound excited, I am!).
I stayed for about 6 hours and explored all that I could, including breaks to rest and have lunch. I traveled in August. It was a nice cool day with just a little rain from time to time. Nothing to stop me and many other people from enjoying the beautiful borders, flowers, and exhibits. The edible gardens were well done and gave me lots of ideas to take home and try.
I encourage you to visit this amazing place. It is truly a wonder.
My Favorites
1. Tree Top Walkway
A very tall tree top walkway takes you through the canopy of tall trees. An elevator is available when operating. I walked the entire way up. Whew!
2. The Grass Garden
This area ia artfully done with a variety of natural ornamental and tall grasses. The wind was blowing that day and the tall grasses were mesmerizing.
3. Great Borders
This walk into Kew is absolutely beautiful with amazing borders of beautiful flowers and plants.
